We are looking for a creative individual who’s enthusiastic about engaging people in science and conservation to join our communications team. WWT has a world-class reputation for research and welcomes a million people a year to our visitor centres. Your work will be varied. You’ll communicate our international conservation and the biodiversity of our UK wildlife reserves through the media and you will be involved in engaging people with our work more broadly.You will write attention grabbing copy, explain our work clearly to journalists and broadcasters and, vitally, quickly get to know colleagues throughout the organisation so that you never miss an opportunity for a story.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree standard or equivalent in a relevant subject with experience of turning science/technical stories into engaging copy aimed at a non-expert audience.
