WWT London Wetland Centre is an inspiring nature reserve in South West London, delivering a suite of innovative workshops and activities for both formal learning groups and for family audiences, aimed at bringing people closer to nature.
As a Learning Assistant, you will assist with the delivery of our varied school programmes, mainly at KS1 and KS2 levels, and the Centre’s family learning programme during weekends and school holidays. You’ll also have the chance to help with special events such as our summer Night Safaris.
The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, preferably gained within a visitor attraction, and experience within a teaching environment or other learning setting. The ability to communicate with people at all levels is essential. Knowledge of natural history / environmental / conservation issues is desirable.
Please note that regular weekend working and bank holidays are a requirement of this role.
This is a fixed term contract from April to August 2019.
