The Conservation Evidence Department is seeking an experienced Wetland Scientist to lead WWT’s research into the multiple benefits of Natural Flood Management (NFM). You will be a motivated and adaptable individual able to support a small team of field researchers and volunteers. The role will involve working closely with project partners (externally) and project managers (internally) so strong communication skills are essential. There will be frequent travel to meetings and field sites in the South West of England not all of which are accessible by public transport, so a driving licence is essential. 

You will have a strong background in freshwater ecology and a well-developed understanding of scientific research design, implementation and reporting. Skills in GIS and remote sensing would be desirable for the scoping and development of other wetland monitoring projects that the team is planning.
