Fixed Term Contract for 18 months

The role of our new Engagement Officer is to find ways to excite people about the amazing things wetlands do for both people and wildlife. You’ll use your creativity, enthusiasm and people skills to develop innovative ways to engage visitors and the local community around WWT’s newest reserve. We’ve already got a great team of volunteers, who you’ll manage, and you’ll also consult with lots of other stakeholders, including funders. With a strategic head too, you will plan and evaluate the engagement work and as part of a small friendly team, you’ll also support the site manager with the longer term ambitions for the reserve.

We’re a passionate and friendly organisation, embracing opportunities to offer unforgettable experiences to visitors, towards which this role will make a key contribution.

In return for your hard work and dedication you’ll enjoy a wide range of benefits including:

- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing to 30 days after 5 years’ service
- Contributory pension scheme (conditions apply)
- Life assurance
- Free parking
- Child care voucher scheme
- Free entry to all our centres
