The Grants Team makes a major contribution to raising the funds we need for wildlife and community-focused conservation programmes in the UK and internationally, environmental education projects and the work that ensures that our wetland centres and reserves offer all that they can for wildlife and people.
We are looking for an experienced Grants Fundraiser to manage and broaden their own portfolio of grant funder relationships, including leading on major applications, compiling reports and complex claims. This is an exciting career development opportunity to maximise the potential of relationships with a wide range of grant funders, including charitable trust, statutory, landfill community and lottery funders. The post holder will be the lead for the whole of Supporter Development on some projects, working closely with teams across WWT to develop projects aligned with both our strategy and funder interests.
We are looking for a career Fundraiser who is an innovative, resourceful, self-motivated, well-organised and creative person with strong communication and numerical skills. The successful candidate will have a track record of securing at least high five figure sums and be confident of influencing stakeholders at all levels, supervising staff and managing their own workload proactively.
