WWT Castle Espie Wetland Centre is a customer focused visitor attraction on the shores of Strangford Lough. We are looking to recruit an experienced bird keeper who can take the lead in achieving the highest standards in animal husbandry for our collection of wildfowl including ensuring the success of our breeding plan.  You will develop strong working relationships with other departments both locally and nationally and will help to promote the centres role in species conservation. You will be central to delivering a high quality, inspiring visitor experience to over 65,000 visitors each year by delivering daily talks and assisting in the delivery of engaging events and activities.

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE standard with previous animal husbandry experience, especially aviculture and a genuine enthusiasm for wetland conservation. An ability to supervise staff and volunteers is essential as are excellent communication skills.
