This is a fantastic opportunity to shape and implement an ambitious, forward-looking individual giving strategy which aims to increase individual income by 25% and to double our supporter base over the next five years. The Head of Individual Giving is responsible for bringing in over £9 million of income annually, largely from WWT membership, as well as legacies, other regular giving products and one off appeals. The role provides leadership and support to the individual giving team, empowering them to give our supporters the best possible experience of WWT and enabling them to deliver against agreed targets, as well as providing guidance across WWT’s ten UK wetland sites to support membership recruitment and retention targets.

We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic professional with strategic management experience within the charity sector, and a strong track record of consistently achieving seven figure fundraising targets from regular giving products. With a strong knowledge of direct marketing, they will understand how to use supporter insight to inform and shape marketing communication plans that will balance maximising income with ensuring that supporters are at the heart of all our plans and communications. Excellent at building internal relationships, they will have experience of collaborating across a complex organisation and ideally across multiple sites, to achieve shared targets. Experience of managing teams and budgets is essential.

The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) is a conservation charity that protects wetlands for wildlife and people. We conserve, restore and create wetlands. We are pioneers in saving wetland wildlife, both in the UK and around the world. At our 10 UK sites around a million visitors a year engage with wetland nature. We work internationally in key global wetland areas, balancing conservation with sustainable livelihoods and influencing national and international conservation policies.

In return for your hard work and dedication you’ll enjoy a wide range of benefits including:
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays increasing to 30 days after 5 years’ service
- Contributory pension scheme (conditions apply)
- Life assurance
- Free parking
- Cycle to work scheme
- Free entry to all our centres
