An exciting opportunity has opened up at Castle Espie Wetland Centre for a Lead Cook to form part of the core team working closely with the Catering Manager to deliver our vibrant catering service. WWT Castle Espie Wetland Centre is an amazing attraction offering visitors the chance to discover, and get close to, a wealth of wildlife in 25 hectares of beautiful wetlands on the shore of Strangford Lough. We welcome over 65,000 visitors per year and our catering operation is an integral part of their experience.

We are looking for an energetic and proactive professional to drive sales, create seasonally inspired products to meet our visitors’ needs and continually strive to improve standards. With an eye for detail you will ensure food presentation is of the highest standard, with the ability to lead by example. You will understand P&L, labour percentages, cost of sales, stock control and what part they play in a successful operation. You must have experience in motivating team members in a busy catering environment and have exceptionally high food safety standards.
