With recent internal promotions, an exciting opportunity has arisen at WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre to oversee the demonstration birds and mammal section where we have a unique collection with vast potential and exciting bird demonstrations.
Working with the Living Collections Managers you will help develop a diverse and interactive wetland mammal visitor experience, as well as continuing to develop the management of existing species, including the North American river otter, water vole and harvest mice. You will be supervising and maintaining our new Living Wetland Theatre and its bird demonstrations which feature pelicans, crowned crane and other water birds.
The successful candidate will be joining a team of presenters and keepers delivering daily talks and demonstrations on birds and mammals, as well as supervising a brilliant team and helping deliver our goals. You’ll have great communication skills and be able to work as part of a large team.
