Fixed term contracts from 22nd March to 29th September 2024

WWT Martin Mere is looking for engaging and hardworking individuals to ensure the smooth running of our Canoe Safari attraction from 22 March to 29 September 2024.

You will greet visitors, encourage them to engage in the activity and make sure the canoes and accessories are safe to use.  Other duties will include providing correctly fitting buoyancy aids to all visitors and making sure they have received the necessary instructions for undertaking the activity. 

The successful candidates must have experience of working in a visitor attraction or a customer focused environment and have the ability to engage with people at all levels.  Canoeing or outdoor sport experience would be an advantage but full training is provided.

There are 3 positions available:

  • 1 x 26 hour position, working 4 days per week Wednesday to Saturday (£14,736 per annum)
  • 1 x 19.5 hour position, working 3 days a week Sunday to Tuesday (£11,052 per annum)
  • 1 x 13 hour position, working 2 days per week on Saturday and Sunday (£7,368 per annum)
